The Woodbine Mohawk Pepsi North America Cup is returning this weekend.
It will be a chance for horse racing fanatics to be able to watch some of the best standardbred harness racing in the world.
The competitors are all in the running for a $1 million grand prize.
The Manager of Communications for Woodbine Mohawk Park, Mark McKelvie, shares what to expect this year.
The Pepsi North America Cup was originally scheduled to take place in mid-June.
With the COVID-19 pandemic making that impossible, it was rescheduled with the hopes of fans being able to attend.
While that won’t be the case on Saturday, McKelvie promises a fun night of racing that fans can enjoy online.
There were even some challenges when it came to rescheduling.
Woodbine Mohawk Park is limited to only allowing competing racers as the spectators for the Pepsi North America Cup.
They also open the doors from time-to-time to those with racing licenses to meet their 100 person outdoor limit for a crowd.
McKelvie says the feedback has been great so far from people attending and those watching online, and hopes we can get to a point where more people will be allowed to come to the races.

The races start on Saturday, August 29th at 6:30 p.m..
