How have you done with your cyber security lately?
Hopefully it’s better than the Canada Revenue Agency.
They announced recently that thousands of Canadians had their accounts hacked.
myFM’s Jamie in the Morning had the chance to speak with our very own IT Specialist, Scott Arsenault.
He touches on why you shouldn’t be using the same usernames and passwords.
Arsenault also provided some tips for shopping online.
He says you should only use reputable sites. Otherwise, Paypal is a very safe option.
The two also covered antivirus softwares and how you should still be using them.
Scott says that while some computers or phones come with antivirus built into them, you should do your research and go out and acquire it anyway.
Cyber Security Awareness Month is coming up. It will take place in October and will cover a wide range of topics.
