Thursday’s myFM All Hands on Deck Food Drive was a major success for Food4Kids Halton.
myFM News got General Manager Hilary Montbourquette into the studio to discuss the big day at John’s No Frills.
He reflects on the food drive.
Montbourquette adds that, while this was his first food drive with the station, he felt like a part of the community.
One listener alone dropped off more than $3000 worth of food after hearing about the event on the radio.
He covers the rough projections for what myFM has collected this year for Food4Kids Halton.
The interview was held before we got word from Food4Kids Halton that their count has surpassed $9,000.
Moving his attention to next year, Montbourquette hopes the world is in a better place.
That way, even more people might be willing to come and help end food insecurity in Halton.
