The Halton Region has updated their COVID-19 statistics.
In Milton, our total of confirmed positive cases remains at 234. The Region is aware of four active cases in Milton, one less than what was reported yesterday.
Across all of Halton, three new confirmed positive cases have been reported. The total number is now 835. However, active cases are 15, which is only an increase of one. That means reported recoveries almost matched the slight increase in new cases.
Here are some COVID-19 health tips provided by the Region of Halton:
- Most people with COVID-19 infection will develop mild symptoms and will recover on their own at home.
- The risk of severe illness and outcomes is higher for older adults and those with weakened immune systems and underlying medical conditions (diabetes, heart and lung disease).
