Mandatory face masks in indoor public spaces will be a decision for the Halton Region.

He called it a safety net in the event that the Halton Regional Council does not make the decision to pass the by-law.
The amendment fell through after a 5-4 vote among Councillors and Milton Mayor Krantz.
The vote count was recorded.
Councillors who voted for the amendment are: Colin Best (Regional Councillor for Ward 1), Kristina Tesser Derksen (Town Councillor for Ward 1), Rick Di Lorenzo (Town Councillor for Ward 3), Zeeshan Hamid (Regional Councillor for Ward 4).
