
After a tense negotiation period on Wednesday, the Halton Regional Police Service has arrested a male youth for barricading himself in an Oakville home, armed with a knife.
Frontline officers, TAC, K9, and negotiators were deployed to the scene in the area of Upper Middle Road and Ninth Line.
Roads were closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the immediate area.
The male exited the home unharmed and surrendered to police after negotiations. He was charged with Forcible Confinement and was held pending a bail hearing.
The Halton Police did not be release the name or age of the accused.
