
The Halton Police has arrested an Oakville man for impaired driving and weapon offences.
On Tuesday, June 30th, an officer attended the area of Garth Webb Public School following a driving complaint.
The vehicle was located a short distance away and a traffic stop was conducted.
The driver exited the vehicle and advanced on the officer while holding a knife.
The officer ordered the man to drop the knife, and he complied.
Further investigation found additional knives, both in the truck and on the man.
A 21-year-old Oakville resident is facing a list of charges:
- Assault with a weapon;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- Carry a concealed weapon;
- Operation while impaired;
- Blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
