Health Canada has recalled three more hand sanitizers that may cause a health risk due to use of industrial-grade ethanol.
They have recalled Germzero, Gelt Antiseptique, and Tekare Instant Hand cleanser gel.
Other hand sanitizers that have been recalled include:
- Eltraderm Hand Sanitizer;
- Hand Sanitizer by Contract Packaging Distributions Inc.;
- Gel 700 Hand Sanitizer;
- Sanilabs Hand Sanitizer;
- Walker Emulsions Hand Sanitizer;
- Hand Sanitizer Désinfectant pour les mains;
- Protectenol Hand Sanitizer Liquid;
- Tidol Hand Sanitizer 70%;
- Aktif Antiseptique Instantané Pour Les Mains;
- Smart Care;
- X-Pure Vert-2-Go Gel;
- Dash Vapes Hand Sanitizer;
- Isogel.
They warn that frequent use can cause dry skin, cracked skin or irritation.
Health Canada encourages people to stop using these hand sanitizers and they encourage that if you have any concerns to ask a health professional.
