Enable Education was able to take advantage of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy and get employees back during COVID-19.
The CEWS is available for Canadian employers whose businesses have been affected by COVID-19.
Milton MP Adam van Koeverden says that this is an example of a business taking advantage of government resources.
He was even able to take a tour last year of the facility.
These businesses may be eligible for a subsidy of 75% of employee wages for up to 24-weeks, retroactive from March 15, 2020, to August 29, 2020.
This wage subsidy enables them to re-hire workers previously laid off as a result of COVID-19, help prevent further job losses, and be better positioned to resume normal operations following the crisis.
Looking ahead, MP van Koeverden says that there should be more announcements coming up.
