At roughly 10:20 a.m. Friday morning, the Halton Police received a report of a pedestrian being struck by a transport truck at Harvester Rd. and Appleby Line in Burlington.
A woman in her 60’s was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. Her next of kin has been notified.
Harvester Rd. between Appleby Line and South Service Rd. will be closed for several hours. Motorists to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
Anyone who witnessed this incident, or anyone with dash cam footage from the area at the time of the collision is asked to call our Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
