
The Peel Police reported today that three arrests have been made in connection to five convenience store robberies across the GTA, including Milton.
On May 14th, a variety store located in the area of Kennedy Road and Queen Street, in Brampton was robbed at knife point.
On June 1st, the convenience store located in the area of Balmoral Drive and Eastbourne Drive in Brampton was robbed at gunpoint.
On June 2th, the convenience store located in the area of Bronte Street South and Anne Boulevard, in Milton was robbed at gunpoint.
On June 3rd, the variety store located in the area of Hurontario Street and Hillcrest in Mississauga was robbed at gunpoint.
On June 4th, the convenience store located in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road East and Central Parkway in Mississauga was robbed at gunpoint.
No injuries to any of the victims were reported and various quantities of cash were taken from each store. Tobacco and food products were stolen from some of the stores.
Two suspects were arrested on June 4th.
An 18-year-old man from Brampton was charged with five counts of Robbery, five counts of Disguise with Intent and four counts of Imitation Firearm. He was held for a bail hearing and he appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on June 5th.
A 15-year-old male youth from Brampton was charged with four counts of Robbery, four counts of Disguise with Intent and four counts of Use Imitation Firearm. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on June 5th.
A third suspect was charged on June 16th.
A 15-year-old male youth from Mississauga was charged with five counts of Robbery, five counts of Disguise with Intent, four counts of Use Imitation Firearm and fifteen counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order. He was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on June 17th.
Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, names will not be shared for the two minors, and naming the 18-year old would run the risk of the names of the youths becoming public.
