St. Paul’s United Church has received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The grant worth $148,400 was used on building a new roof for the church’s community building in May.
Reverend Dale Skinner says this was welcomed news after not receiving the grant last year.
He talks about how important the community building is to Milton.
Reverend Skinner says that being able to offer access to a space that is affordable and safe is a wonderful gift they are able to give to Milton residents.
He adds that this is the opportune moment to have had their roof replaced while COVID-19 restrictions were in place.
Reverend Skinner says a lot of time and effort went into filling out the application and seeing this project through.
He’s grateful to those who took the time to help.
