June is Pride Month across the world.
In Milton, there was a virtual flag raising of the Pride Flag at Town Hall on Monday because of COVID-19.
Several events were canceled but for Taylor Henderson, lead for the Halton pflag chapter it just means next year’s events will be even bigger.
However, this doesn’t underscore the need for resources in the community for the LGBTQ+ community.
When reflecting on Pride month, Henderson says Pride encompasses a lot of elements.
During June, pflag Halton has launched a Know Your Pride initiative.
They are highlighting some honorable people all over the world who have been monumental in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights.
