The Salvation Army Food Bank received a boost from the Community Foundation of North Halton.
They were one of three organizations from Milton to receive $1500 that ended providing some relief to a budget that’s already being tightened.
Captain Ruth Hickman with the Salvation Army says this money will go a long way.
She also shares with us her reaction when she received the money.
Hickman, who is new to Milton, says that she was getting the hang of everything in February but in the months after, it was a different story.
