
Halton Police reported a stabbing this morning in Oakville.
The suspect was described as a 15-year old white male with blond, shoulder-length hair, thin build, and was wearing all black.
The victim was reported to be a 79-year old woman. The attack happened in a residence. She was taken to hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The teenager was reportedly found in the Peel Region by Peel Police.
He was arrested and taken into custody. The suspect was found on a bus in the Peel Region by Halton Tactical Rescue Unit officers.
The Halton Police thanked GO Transit and Peel Police for their assistance in the investigation.
They say this was an isolated incident and the people involved were known to each other.
