There are 10 days left in the Oakville Milton Humane Society’s virtual game ‘Mission Pawsible‘!
The point of the game is to educate the public on the costs the Humane Society incurs related to the care of the animals that they welcome in to their shelter.
Each individual or family who participates in the game and fundraises will go through the journey that an animal goes through from the moment they enter the shelter to the moment they find their forever home.
Executive Director of the Oakville Milton Humane Society, Rick Perciante, says they have been very pleased with the support they’ve received so far.
Their target this year was $3 million. They have had a slight impact on their goals this year due to COVID-19.
Perciante hopes that continued donations will help them be able to support the different initiatives they have planned.
He explains that they are planning for the days and months ahead as warmer weather continues.
Every player who gets involved gets a social media tool kit to help them fundraise as well as videos on how other participants are doing in the game.
