The Milton Farmers’ Market opened back up this past weekend.
The Milton Chamber of Commerce had to move the market to Country Heritage Park.
Main Street is currently held under a ban on the use of public space.
Vendors from the market were excited for the day.
MPP Parm Gill was at the opening to welcome people to the market.
He says it’s awesome to be able to have some sort of normality.
Milton Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Scott McCammon, says it took a lot of hard work to get the market up and running.
McCammon adds that the Halton Health Department was very helpful during the whole process.
Shoppers were spaced out for physical distancing reasons and there was a limit on how many people could be in Gambrel Barn at one time.
The Chamber is also providing curbside pickup for shoppers who aren’t comfortable with shopping at the market. (http://miltonfarmersmarket.ca/)
McCammon provides a possible timeline for when the market can return to Main Street.
The Milton Farmers’ Market will return again next Saturday at Country Heritage Park.
