The 407 is making a big donation to communities across the GTA including Milton.
They made a three-year commitment of $4 million in donations to the United Way’s network of agencies in Durham, Halton, Hamilton, Peel, Toronto, and York.
The total of $5.2 million donations will help communities and assist hospitals with their response to the pandemic.
Kevin Sack, Vice President, Marketing, Communications & Government Relations, 407 ETR says that Milton was a no brainer to invest in.
The donations will take place over three years, an immediate emergency donation of $750,000 to the United Way Local Love Campaign, $500,000 in 2020 (total of $1.25 million with emergency donation above), $1.75 million in 2021, and $1.0 million in 2022.
Sack says it’s important because it’s important to think of the recovery.
When it comes to choosing a charity, Sack says that it made sense to go with the United Way.
In addition to this donation, the Milton District Hospital received $50,000 from the 407.
