MADD Halton is reminding people of the importance of reporting impaired driving with Campaign 911.
Campaign 911 outlines the 10 signs of impaired driving, provides information on how to report an impaired driver and lists safety reminders for dealing with impaired driving.
MADD reminds us of the 10 possible signs of impaired driving which include:
- Driving unreasonably fast, slow or at an inconstant speed
- Driving in and out of lanes
- Tailgating and frequently changing lanes
- Making very wide turns
- Changing lanes or passing without enough space
- Overshooting or stopping too soon at a light or stop sign
- Disregarding signals or lights
- Approaching signals or leaving intersections too fast or slow
- Driving without headlights, failing to lower beams or leaving turn signals on
- Driving with windows open in cold or inclement weather
When reporting, you will need to to be able to provide the location, vehicle description, a description of the driver, and the direction they’re heading.
They remind people to keep your distance from the driver and to never try to apprehend a driver.
