
The state of emergency in Ontario will remain in effect for at least another couple of weeks.
Earlier today, the provincial government announced all emergency orders put in place to-date under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act are being extended until May 19th.
The orders include: the closure of establishments, prohibiting organized public events and closure of non-essential businesses.
Premier Doug Ford will be giving an update at Queen’s Park at 1 p.m.
