
Halton Police believe that a wanted suspect in a Peel Region fatal hit-and-run could have driven through Georgetown/Norval.
The collision happened overnight on Friday/Saturday.
The victim was 32-year-old Colin Fisher of Brampton. He was cycling eastbound on Highway 7, known as Bovaird Drive, in the City of Brampton. He was traveling on his bicycle when struck by an unknown motor vehicle on Bovaird Drive between Heritage Road and Mississauga Road.
Fisher was found by a motorist who called police. Despite efforts by first responders, Colin Fisher died at the scene from his injuries.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be an older model, black, two-tone F150.
Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are urging the driver of the suspected vehicle to contact a lawyer and turn themselves in.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area during this time with dashcam footage to come forward. If anyone has information on the location of this vehicle or if they have any information related to this collision to contact the Major Collision Bureau (905) 453–2121, ext. 3710.
