Playful Strides Therapy is making sure that families with children with challenges such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, or who are just finding this time staying at home challenging all have the support they need.
Playful Strides Therapy switched their services to online only on March 17th. Their physiotherapists are also still working with children with developmental issues and those with physical issues where reduction in therapy may cause them pain.
They are now offering three types of free webinars.
Occupational therapist Cathy O’Leary says they are offering one during the day and one at night.
This is their first grouping and they can offer more if needed.
Their goal is to make sure families come out of quarantine engaged, connected and ready to re-enter the community.
When they first posted the webinars on April 21st, O’Leary said they already had 15-20 families interested.
With two more therapists onboard soon, they will be able to offer more webinars and monitor conversations.
She shares what inspired them to make the webinars.
O’Leary says these services are free and complimentary.
They are not expecting anything down the road. All information received during the webinar will be deleted will be deleted when the webinar is complete.
