Earth Day is looking a little different this year for Conservation Halton.
Typically they have their animal ambassadors from the raptors centre out in the community educating. Tree planting would also be done along with community outreach work.
Education manager for Conservation Halton, Brenna Bartley, shares what they are currently working on.
They are also hoping to see the community share with them all the activities they are doing throughout Halton to celebrate.
While we all officially acknowledge the beauty of our environment on Earth Day, Bartley reminds us that Earth Day is every day.
During the quarantine, Bartley is noticing that a lot of their members and community members are missing their green space.
She reminds the public that Conservation Halton is funded by their memberships and entry fees.
Bartley encourages anyone interested in helping them keep their green spaces to consider a membership.
She also encourages residents to go to earthday.org and take part in the 24 hours worth of Earth Day activities they are offering.
