
As of Sunday, Halton has 280 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and Milton has 62.
Yesterday we reported that Halton had a total of 269 confirmed cases. Milton’s numbers have stayed the same.
Provincially, there have 401 new cases; bringing us to a total of 7,049 cases.
3,121 cases have been resolved.
274 people have died.
Currently there are 1,619 cases under investigation and there have been a total of 103,165 people tested.
There are 738 patients in the hospital with 261 in the ICU and 196 in the ICU on a ventilator.
Symptoms of COVID-19 may include:
- Fever or new cough or difficulty breathing
- Muscle aches, fatigue, headache, sore throat, runny nose or diarrhea
- Symptoms in young children may be non-specific (e.g., lethargy, poor feeding)
Severe symptoms may include:
- Shortness of breath when walking, exercising, or at rest, which is unusual for the patient
- Chest pain, extreme fatigue, drowsiness, unstable vital signs
Anyone who develops symptoms, whether they have traveled or not, should self-isolate for 14 days, or until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours, whichever is longer. Those with mild symptoms and no complications do not need to contact Public Health.
