Wilcox Bodies Limited in Milton is switching their focus from truck body and equipment manufacturing to producing supplies that will help the fight against COVID-19.
They are now considering themselves a temporary COVID-19 Equipment Manufacturer.
In a press release, Wilcox says they have, “designed an upfit kit for pickup trucks as a well as a version to transform trailers and airline baggage carts into mobile disinfectant carts.”
They say these systems will emit a disinfecting spray that can cover any large area for use both inside and outside with speed and intensity.
Vice President of Wilcox Bodies Limited David Dick adds, “our team is working hard to quickly design systems which can be utilized with existing industry equipment, giving the ability for many industries, including landscapers, contractors and ground support personnel to help.”
The company is working on creating more products that will help hospitals who are low on supplies.
Their new focus is on mobile medical equipment tables, dirty linen carts, face shield, and basic patient beds.
