Playgrounds across Milton have been shutdown during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The move was done to help curve the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Town Councillor for Ward 4, Sameera Ali, says that, as a parent, she feels it’s the right thing to do.
Councillor Ali adds that children should be given credit for how well they’ve handled this situation.
She says her kids have been able to stay active and focused during the outbreak.
The timeline for when playgrounds will be reopened remains unclear.
Councillor Ali personally believes the parks will be re-opened when the schools re-open.
However, as it stands, there is no set timeline for the parks to be re-opened.
