The Oakville and Milton Humane Society’s Kindness Club sessions for April are open!
Kindness Club offers kids ages 6-12 the opportunity to learn more about animals and play with the animals that consider the humane society home.
Manager of community outreach and education at the humane society, Heather White, tells us it all starts with teaching kids the importance of being kind to one another.
Ten children can participate in each session and they are always looking for more youth and adult volunteers.
White says both parents and kids really enjoy the program, especially for those who can’t have a pet of their own.
The April session is open for registration.
White talks about the benefits of getting involved.
White adds that also gives kids the chance to learn more about wild animals and creatures and how to understand and co-exist with them.
To get involved you can go to their website, omhs.ca.
