The Town of Milton announced that there will not be any council meetings, committee meetings, or workshops.
The Town of Milton has officially closed Town Hall.
At this time, the closure will last until Sunday, April 5th.
This comes as the COVID-19 outbreak progresses rapidly across Canada and the world.
The decision was made by Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz and the Town’s Crisis Management Team.
The Team meets daily and is currently operating the Town of Milton Emergency Response Plan at a Level 2.
The Town Hall closure impacts Milton Transit slightly.
Transit riders will be forced to pay strictly through cash fares.
However, existing paper tickets may still be used.
The March 30th Town Council meeting is currently under review and it is uncertain if it will be held.
