The Darling Home for Kids have started their new fundraising initiative, the Embrace Campaign.
The money raised will help build the non-profit palliative care home’s new expansion.
Architect for the expansion, Antonio Santini, says the expansion will look and feel like the original home.
Santini adds that it is important to keep the original look of the home to maintain the feel.
He says it assures children that they’re not staying at an institution.
Darling Home CEO, Kristin Horrell, says the Orlando Corporation has made a big pledge.
The Darling Home for Kids’ fundraising goal is $6.5 million.
The Orlando Corporation has pledged to match donations dollar for dollar, up to $3.5 million.
