
There will be a special movie screening at the Milton Public Library for International Women’s Day.
The Canadian documentary ‘Because We Are Girls’ will be shown.
It tells the story of three Punjabi-Canadian sisters from British Columbia.
The film covers mature themes such as trauma and abuse, as well as the girls’ relationships with themselves, each other, and their families.
The screening is today (Saturday, March 7th) at the Main Library branch.
It starts at 2:30 p.m. in the Watson Children’s Program Room.
It is free to attend.
