
Police have issued an Amber Alert in the search for a 14-year-old boy who they say screamed for help before being pushed into a Jeep by two men in North York on Wednesday morning.
The alert was broadcast at around 12:00 a.m. EST on Thursday.
Toronto Police Insp. Jim Gotell told reporters Shammah Jolayemi was reported missing to officers by one of his parents at around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
He said they believed Jolayemi went to school and were unaware he didn’t make it there.
Gotell said Jolayemi was abducted by two male suspects wearing black jackets and bandanas on their heads. They are believed to be between 18 and 22 years old.
Jolayemi was described by Toronto police as being between five-foot-11 and six feet tall, and having a slim build and short, dark, brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweater, grey track pants with a thin orange stripe, a shiny and puffy black winter coat, and black-and-yellow Air Jordan shoes.
A vehicle of interest was observed where the boy was last seen. Vehicle possibly a black Jeep Wrangler with oversized front tires and front push bar with round fog lights.
Police looking to speak with abducted boy’s step brother Olalekan Osikoya in regards to this matter.
The victim was last seen near Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue.
