Halton Regional Council has approved funding worth millions of dollars to help resolve the issue of homelessness in Milton and the region.
Regional Councillor for Ward 1, Colin Best, talks about the growing problem homelessness has become.
Councillor Best says it is important that they save the province money as in some situations, the homeless are incarcerated which only costs the province more.
He brings up the Region’s appeals to the province.
Councillor Best ends by saying they have reached out to the province to help them fund projects where they can offer assisted housing that will allow those in need the ability to live and commute to work.
