Stage of the Sports Celebrity Dinner (2020)
The Milton Chamber of Commerce’s Sports Celebrity Dinner and Auction was last night at RattleSnake Point Golf Club.
Some of the headliners for the event were Raptors Colour Commentator Jack Armstrong, NHL Hall of Famer Eric Lindros, Hockey Legend and Broadcaster Tessa Bonhomme, and former Raptor Alvin Williams.
Jack Armstrong says that last night is all about the kids more than anything else.
Sportsnet’s Ken Reid was the host for the night. He had something special to say about the dinner.
Armstrong also talked about the Raptors possibly adding another piece heading into the playoffs.
Armstrong adds that he sees Kyle Lowry as the greatest Raptor of all time.
He expects a statue to be built outside Scotiabank Arena, similar to the Leafs’ Legends Row.
Eric Lindros, in his prime, was considered one of the greatest of all time.
He talks about his career ending early due to injuries.
Lindros adds that while he doesn’t watch too much hockey nowadays, he does consider a few guys in the NHL must-watch.
He cites Connor McDavid as a great example of a player that people need to see.
As a new Miltonian, Bonhomme says she’s starting to get involved in the community.
The Milton Chamber of Commerce’s next big event is Breakfast with the Mayor.
