The Halton Hawks FC Soccer Academy had a few extra coaches last week.
Daniel O’Donnell and Matt Hunter from England’s Tranmere Rovers were in Milton.
The two were here to run the first of many training sessions with the Halton Hawks academy players, as part of a partnership agreement between the Halton Hawks soccer academy and Tranmere Rovers. Tranmere play in the EFL league one in England and is considered a feeder system for the Premier League.
This partnership is expected to raise the level of player development in Milton.
O’Donnell talks about the partnership between Tranmere and the Halton Hawks.

Tranmere’s Matt Hunter breaks down how coaching is evolving in soccer.
He says even a small difference means it was worth it.
Halton coach Vasco Nunes happens to be a leading expert in soccer coaching.
He was happy to see that Tranmere saw development the same way he did.
The Hawks are hoping with this partnership, the academy will grow and become a leading source for high quality player development in Ontario that will see players being sent to competitive and pro clubs in Canada, the US and Tranmere.
