As contract negotiations continue between all four teachers unions and the province, a number of one-day strikes are taking place this week.
High schools and elementary schools under the Halton Catholic District School Board will be closed on January 21st for the walk out.
Although the schools will be closed, their child care programs will remain open and the schools will be available for public use.
On Thursday, January 23rd, elementary schools under the Halton District School Board will be closed.
Parents and guardians have been asked to make other plans for their children.
Grade 7-12 schools, such as Aldershot School and Burlington Central, will be closed for kids in grades 7 and 8.
High schools in the Halton District School Board will remain open.
