The Halton Region has submitted a response to a discussion paper set out by the Province of Ontario.
The paper surrounds the modernization of healthcare in the Province.
Regional Councillor for Ward 4, Zeeshan Hamid, outlines Halton Regions’ main objective.
Another issue that the Halton Region wants to address surrounds, aligning administration between the region and the province.
Councillor Hamid also says that social services shouldn’t be forgotten either.
He also wanted to make sure that Milton was included in the discussion paper.
Last year, the Ministry of Health wanted to gather input and advice about how best to achieve a public health system that meets the evolving health needs and priorities of Ontario’s families.
