Halton Regional Council meets on Wednesday for the first time in the new year.
While there is a number of appointments to be made on the agenda, Regional Council will have a focus on a response to a discussion paper to the province.
The motion intends to support the public health modernization consultation submission.
Sticking with the theme of healthcare, Halton Region has a motion that will accept $500,475 from the Province for the dedicated offload nurse program.
This represents 38% of the funding requested by Halton Region.
Staff is also recommending that the Region continues to fund any shortfall needed.
