Now that Christmas is over, residents may be wondering what to do with their Christmas trees.
Regional Councillor for Milton’s Ward 3, Mike Cluett, works a lot with the Halton Waste Management Site.
He says starting this week, you can now leave your tree on the curb for the garbage trucks.
Cluett adds that Conservation Halton is also running a program for Christmas trees.
He says both are good options.
On Saturday, January 11th, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., residents can drop off their trees at Crawford Lake.
The trees will then be recycled to restore creeks and streams.
Fortunately, the Halton Waste Management Site also recycles their trees.
