2020 is here and we spoke with some of Milton’s dignitaries and leading organizations about 2019 and their goals for the year ahead.
We asked the Development Manager of Halton Women’s Place, Carm Bozzo, about their standout moment for this year.
She says it was the engagement from the community in their “#YouToo” campaign.
Bozzo adds that it’s been amazing to see how people want to be a part of the solution.
She shares the shelter’s goals for 2020.
Bozzo wants to thank Miltonians for their continued support, their generosity, and their willingness to be a part of the solution in ending violence against women.
She reminds the public that you can be part of the solution by asking questions, paying attention to what’s happening in a loved one or colleague’s life, and that the simple act of paying attention can be a helpful tool in keeping someone safe.
