Celebrate the new year with the Mayor and your local Councillors at the Town of Milton’s annual New Year’s Day Levee.
On January 1st, they will all be at Town Hall to celebrate the New Year with light refreshments, as well as to talk about local events.
This tradition dates back to 1646 when the Governor of New France hosted this event to wish citizens a happy new year and talked to them about important events.
It’s a tradition that continues to be celebrated in municipalities across Canada.
The event goes from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m..
