The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at held their donation presentation at the Milton District Hospital yesterday.
The $10,000 donation was being donated to the Milton District Hospital Foundation.
The money was raised at this past Run For Milton event at the Milton Velodrome.
It’s a part of a larger 10-year, $100,000 donation.
Director of Advocacy, Maqbool Sheikh, says he wants to see more people out at next year’s event.
Sheikh adds that the Run For Milton is a great way to get exercise in the summer.
He also says it’s important for Miltonians to help support the community.
Chair of the MDHF, Brian Penman, says it’s wonderful to see the support from local organizations.
Town Councillor for Ward 4, Sameera Ali, was present for the presentation.
She recommends taking part in the Run For Milton event and helping raising funds for the community.
Next year’s Run For Milton event will take place on June 6th at the Milton Velodrome.
