Last night, Miltonians had a say in what the town will look like in 2050.
It was the Town of Milton’s Visioning Night event at Jean Vanier Secondary School.
Senior Policy Planner for the Town, Nancy Reid, explains the reasoning around holding last night’s event.
Reid adds the Town of Milton wants to hear as much input as possible.
She says they want the next vision statement to be reflective of the people living in Milton now.
Milton Councillor Sameera Ali called into myFM to give her thoughts on the new vision statement.
She says with Milton’s diversity, the Town should focus on adding more types of religious spaces.
The Town of Milton will take the ideas shared from last night and put them into action.
Residents should expect an update in the new year.
