The Ontario government returned to Queen’s Park this week.
Milton is being represented by MPP Parm Gill.
Gill says the first thing on the docket for him and the province is to focus on local businesses.
MPP Gill adds that they want to make Ontario competitive financially.
He says businesses are the backbone of the economy and the Ontario government wants to make sure local businesses thrive.
He says talks surrounding the Milton Education Village are continuing.
Gill says the budget remains a big issue.
With recent teased strikes by school employees, Parm says he’s happy to know things worked out.
However, he wants people to know that financial cuts are necessary when trimming a deficit.
MPP Gill adds that he’s happy to congratulate newly-elected MP Adam van Koeverden on his recent victory.
He also wished Lisa Raitt well moving forward.
