
Hydro rates will go up at the end of the week.
The Ontario Energy Board says the new rates for households and small businesses will take effect on November 1.
The typical residential customer who uses 700 kilowatt hours per month with see an increase of about $1.99 or 1.8 per cent.
The OEB says the new rates are in line with the rate of inflation, which the provincial government promised in March.
Customers will also see a new line displaying the level of provincial rebates.
