A report by real estate aggregate site, Point2Homes, lists Milton as one of the youngest communities in Ontario.
The study shows Milton having one of the lowest shares of residents over the age of 55.
The low average age also seems to correlate with high real estate prices.
Milton’s average home price is over $700,000.
Nearby on the list of youngest cities were Ajax and Brampton, with average home prices above $650,000.
The communities with the most shares of residents over 55-years old had much lower real estate prices.
Kawartha Lakes, Brockville, and Owen Sound all had average real estate prices less than $450,000.
