On Monday night, Milton’s Town Council listened to a presentation by West Corridor Constructors, who are working on the 401 expansion project.
The project will include a 12 lane core collector system from the highway 407 ETR/ Highway 401 interchance to James Snow Parkway.
And 10 lanes from James Snow Parkway to Regional Road 25.
Regional councillor, Mike Cluett, asks them to explain the lane changes.
Council will get there chance to address their concerns to the MTO.
Councillor Kristina Tesser Derksen is concerned about traffic being redirected to residential roads during construction.
She asked them about the potential for road closures and delays.
Councillor John Challinor asked their representatives if they plan on building noise barriers to accommodate residents.
They passed a motion brought forward by Councillor John Challinor II that will get them that opportunity to talk to the Ministry of Transportation about some concerns that they may have.
