The Hope in High Heels Walk is this weekend.
For ten years now, men in Halton have strapped on heels for a short walk to make a big statement: they are a part of the solution.
The charity event raises money for the Halton Women’s Place.
Development Manager of Halton Women’s Place, Carm Bozzo, talks about what participants can expect.
Bozzo adds that being a part of the solution to ending violence against women means not being a bystander.
She says it’s important for men to speak up when they experience something inappropriate towards women.
Bozzo, says younger boys will play a big part in creating change.
The Hope in High Heels Walk is on Saturday, September 14th.
It will begin at 12:30p.m. at Troy’s Diner, located on Milton’s Main Street.
