
How is Milton stacking up compared to the rest of the country?
The Minister of Finance, Bill Morneau, phoned into the myFM studio to discuss current issues.
He says a big thing people are focusing around the country, and especially in Milton, is affordability.
Minister Morneau adds that Canada is in a good position financially compared to other G7 countries.
He says they will need to be prepared in order to keep their positive momentum going and avoid another recession.
Morneau believes focusing on at-home issues like employment will help sustain the Canadian economy.
When asked about the Trans Mountain Pipeline, Morneau says the Carbon Tax is a great example of the balance needed.
He talks about the mindset of having the Pipeline coupled with the Carbon Tax.
The federal government will be up for election this fall.
October 21st is expected to be the official election date.
