The Back to School campaign for Halton Learning Foundation has been going strong.
Recently, Rockwool vowed to match up to $10,000 in donations.
Yesterday morning, Milton’s Liberal candidate for the Federal Election, Adam van Koeverden, donated some school supplies.
He says he wants to encourage people to donate.
van Koeverden adds that not every resident in Halton is able to afford back to school items.
He says the more that people can donate, the better the community can become.
Executive Director of the Halton Learning Foundation, Lesley Mansfield, was on-hand to receive the donations.
She says they are very appreciative of the community’s support as the new school year approaches.
