Milton’s Councillors are at the annual conference of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.
The conference is in Ottawa where ministers, associate ministers and parliamentary assistants have met with more than 600 municipal delegations from across Ontario.
Milton’s Regional Councillor for Ward 1, Colin Best, phoned in to give an update.
Councillor Best adds that there have been updates on Paramedic servicing.
He says Premier Ford announced a 4% increase in funding for the service.
Best ends by saying that communication on overall funding has not been reached.
The Province announced recent cuts to budgets that will take place on January 1st.
Best says the Town and Region remain committed to improving their dialogue with the Ford government.
